I use the M1 Finance App to invest my money. But they had a few changes. If you have less than $10,000 in your account, they charge a $3/month fee. If you don’t have $10,000 in your M1 account, I recommend putting your money into Fidelity. I put all of my kids’ birthday/holiday money they receive from friends and relatives into their accounts there just to separate their money from my own.
This is also the account that I use to connect to my investment savings account at UFB Direct so money can flow into the app without me having to check it all the time. You can read more about it here: UFB Direct Savings Account (5.25% Interest Rate)
What I love about this app is the ease of use and that I can literally just set it and forget it. The beauty of automation is that I don’t have to consciously sit there and put the money into the account every month.
I set my M1 app to withdraw a specific dollar amount into my portfolio every Monday. I don’t have to worry about it after that. Currently, I’m personally investing into an ETF: SCHD. You can find out more about it by clicking the link. It is a collection of stocks that pay dividends. You are welcome to put your own stocks and ETFs, etc. into your portfolio and invest into it that way.
